RENTIQ Privacy Policy
This policy explains how RENTIQ handles information when you use the iOS app. RENTIQ is designed as a local-first app for rental property recordkeeping.
Information You Enter
RENTIQ stores information you choose to enter in the app, including:
- Property names and optional property details.
- Income and expense records.
- Amounts, dates, categories, transaction types, and notes.
- Receipt images, PDFs, attachment details, and file metadata.
- Recurring transaction templates and related configuration.
This information may include financial or rental property details that you choose to record.
Local Storage
RENTIQ is local-first. Records are stored on your device so the app can remain useful without network access. Receipt data and attachment records are stored by the app on your device.
iCloud And CloudKit
When iCloud is available and enabled for RENTIQ, the app can synchronize your records through your Apple account using Apple's private CloudKit infrastructure. RENTIQ uses app-owned private CloudKit records and receipt assets to synchronize property, category, transaction, receipt, and recurring transaction data.
iCloud synchronization depends on your Apple account, device settings, network availability, iCloud storage, and Apple's services. RENTIQ does not operate a separate server that receives your rental records.
Subscriptions And Purchases
RENTIQ may offer auto-renewable subscriptions for RENTIQ Pro. Purchases and billing are processed by Apple through the App Store. RENTIQ receives StoreKit entitlement and product status information needed to unlock Pro features, such as whether an active subscription is verified. RENTIQ does not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
Services Not Used
At launch, RENTIQ does not use:
- A custom account system.
- A custom backend that receives rental records.
- Advertising.
- Analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs.
- Third-party tracking scripts.
- Sale of user data.
Access, Deletion, And Retention
You can review supported records in the app and delete records where the app provides deletion controls. Deleting the app removes local app data from that device. Private iCloud data may remain in your Apple account and may synchronize again if iCloud remains enabled.
Your local and private iCloud data may persist until you delete records in the app, remove applicable iCloud data through Apple settings or Apple tools, or Apple's service policies apply.
Children's Privacy
RENTIQ is not directed to children.
Security
RENTIQ stores app data locally on your device and uses Apple's private CloudKit infrastructure for iCloud synchronization when available. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Policy Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
